Oil Shares Recover

MOSCOW () -- Shares in some Russian oil companies started recovering from recent lows Monday in an otherwise stagnant market, but dealers said it was hard to find reasons behind the rises.

LUKoil Holding shares edged up to $23.50 from $22.0 last week. Its unit, Kogalymneftegaz, fetched about $11.0 after last week's $10.0. Purneftegaz stocks firmed to $1.7 from $1.0.

Russia's electricity monopoly United Energy Systems rose to $5.7 from $5.0 last week, and lorry maker KaMAZ fetched $1.1/$1.2 from $0.7/$0.75.
