Turkish-Kazakh Deal

MOSCOW () -- Turkey plans to boost its investment in oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan, Turkish Energy Minister Veysal Atasoy said Tuesday in a meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Sergei Tereshchenko, Interfax reported.

Atasoy earlier this week attended a launching ceremony for exploration of the Bekbulat oil field, which is being developed by the Kazakh-Turkish joint venture Kazakhturmunai. Turkey has already invested $90 million in Kazakh oil projects since the beginning of 1993.
