Aussies Drop Doper

SYDNEY, Australia () -- A leading Australian rugby-league team Monday withdrew a potentially lucrative offer to Sierra Leone sprinter Horace Dove-Edwin after the athlete returned a positive drug test for steroids at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada.

Canberra Raiders chief executive Kevin Neil said Dove-Edwin would not be welcome at his club and the offer for a tryout had been rescinded.

The club offered Dove-Edwin a tryout after he finished second behind Olympic champion Linford Christie of England in the 100 meters final.
