Haiti Boots Observers

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- The military-dominated government of Haiti on Monday ordered international human rights observer team to leave the country.

UN spokesman Eric Falt said the ministry of foreign affairs gave the observers 48 hours to leave the Caribbean country. The order covers 40 UN observers and 60 from the Organization of American States.

It came as the United States was massing additional warships and 2,000 more Marines just off Haiti's shores.
