St. Trinians Rises Again

WANTAGE, England -- An entire year of fifth-form schoolgirls was sent home after they attacked staff at their school in a raid that included guerrilla-style masks, stink bombs and rotten eggs, educators said. Pranks are a tradition at British private schools but staff at St. Mary's in Wantage, southern England, said the 2 A.M. raid by normally demure, uniformed girls went too far. Headmistress Pat Johns wrote to each parent, asking them to remove their daughters from the ?9,000 ($13,000) a year school, former pupils of which include politicians. The girls may return next year.
