Springboks Axe Failures

JOHANNESBURG -- South Africa's rugby union selectors axed five of the players from the team that suffered a humiliating 32-15 defeat against England on Saturday. They named on Monday four new forwards for the side to meet England in the second and final test in Cape Town on June 11 and dropped off-form scrum-half Joost van der Westhuizen. Other casualties of the selectors' axe are prop Ollie le Roux and flanker Fritz van Heerden, who both won their first caps in last Saturday's game.
