IMF Loan to Lithuania

The International Monetary Fund has approved a $36 million loan for former Soviet Lithuania, the Baltic News Service said Wednesday.

Lithuania has received credits worth $123 million so far from the Fund. The IMF representative in the republic, Peter Cornelius, told the agency that Lithuania can expect to receive another $28 million standby loan later this year.
