Bould Saves Arsenal

Steve Bould salvaged Arsenal's four-month unbeaten premier league run with his first goal for nearly two years against Wimbledon.

The big defender lashed in a 51st-minute equalizer Tuesday after Wimbledon goalkeeper Hans Segers only half cleared an inswinging Ian Selley corner. Ray Parlour returned the ball onto Bould's right foot on the left-hand edge of the six-yard box and the Arsenal defender gratefully rammed the ball home.

Bould's goal canceled out a 37th-minute strike by Wimbledon's Robbie Earle who headed Gary Elkins' corner into the net when a hesitant David Seaman failed to get to the ball.
