Serbs Accuse Moslems

Bosnian Serbs, alarmed by swift progress toward a Moslem-Croat federation, accused Moslem forces on Monday of launching intense attacks on Serb targets.

After Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic said the Moslems had begun a "spring offensive," the Bosnian Serb army said it was under attack in north and eastern Bosnia.

Peacekeepers' spokesman Rob Annink said the UN was investigating Serb claims, but was not aware of the fighting although Serbs were attacking the Moslem pocket of Maglaj with artillery and mortars on Sunday while UN military observes were being deployed.

The Bosnian Serb news agency Srna said Moslem fighters were said to be preparing an attack on Serbs in eastern Bosnia where Moslems were evicted en masse in the early stages of the war.
