Prince Charles Robbed

Thieves broke into the private London apartments of Britain's Prince Charles and stole his cufflinks and tiepins in the third major breach of royal security this year, Buckingham Palace said Friday.

The burglary at St. James's Palace, which is also home to other members of the royal family, including Charles's grandmother, the Queen Mother, was discovered Friday morning by a member of the prince's staff.

The 45-year-old heir to the throne was on a skiing holiday in the Swiss resort of Klosters at the time. It was not immediately known when the break-in took place.
