Kazakhs Bullish on Oil

Kazakhstan expects to double exports of crude oil and gas condensate outside the former Soviet Union to seven million tons this year, Deputy Energy and Fuel Resources Minister Anatoly Lobayev said Monday.

Last year's exports were 3.5 million tons, down from about six million tons in 1992, he said in an interview. Kazakhstan is the second biggest oil producer in the former Soviet Union after Russia.
