Hungary has outlawed money laundering, insider trading and other financial misdeeds to help police battle increasingly sophisticated criminals.

Penal code amendments adopted by parliament Tuesday call for prison sentences of up to five years for concealing the origin of money earned from terrorist activity or illegal drug and weapons trading.
