Daly Back on the Links

John Daly will return to the U.S. PGA Tour after a four-month absence to compete in next month's Honda Classic, the tour announced.

Daly, the long hitter who shocked the golf world by winning the 1991 PGA Championship at Crooked Stick as an alternate, was suspended from the tour last November 8 after withdrawing in mid-round from Hawaii's Kapalua International. The Honda Classic begins on March 10 at Weston Hills Country Club in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Erratic behavior by Daly, who once turned around at an exhibition and drove a ball toward onlookers, was likely a factor in the suspension. His reinstatement was announced Tuesday.
