Ancona Bumps Torino

Second division Ancona knocked holder Torino out of the Italian Cup when it drew the second leg of its semifinal 0-0 for a 1-0 aggregate victory.

Ancona now faces Sampdoria in the two-legged final in April, bidding to become only the second side from its division to win the Italian Cup following Napoli's unique achievment in 1962.

The goal that tilted the tie Ancona's way came in the 22nd minute of the first leg Feb. 9 when Massimo Agostini scored for the underdogs, who are trying to win the first major domestic honor in 89 years. They played Thursday.
