Charity Quits Camps

NAIROBI, Kenya () -- The French wing of M?decins Sans Fronti?res has pulled out of Rwandan refugee camps in northwest Tanzania because it says the 400,000 refugees are eating better, thanks to international relief efforts, than is the local population.

"The obvious way to tell the difference between a Rwandan and a Tanzanian is by their health," said Fiona Terry, MSF-France coordinator in Tanzania, adding the malnutrition rate among Rwandan refugees was between 2 percent and 4 percent, compared with about 7 percent for Tanzanians.
