Veterans Attend Funeral

MOSCOW () -- Hundreds of Afghan War veterans converged on Moscow on Tuesday to mourn their leader who was killed by an explosion.

The mourners -- mostly blinded or crippled veterans wearing red and black arm bands -- attended a funeral at the Central House of the Soviet Army.

Mikhail Likhodey, head of the Afghan War Invalids' Fund, died Thursday at his apartment building.

Authorities are unsure who planted the bomb. Newspapers have mentioned a dispute over the fund's leadership.
