Staying Safe in Moscow

MOSCOW () -- Feeling insecure? A three-day conference on organized crime, banking fraud and other security issues facing foreign business in Russia begins Thursday at the Radisson Slavjanska Hotel.

The seminar, sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, will feature briefings from senior U.S. and German embassy officials. The cost is $150 for the first two days, $20 for the third. American Chamber of Commerce, International Press Club and German M002 club members pay $100 for the first two days, $10 for the third.

"The idea behind this is we are trying to show people that there is a safe way to live in Moscow without overdramatizing the effects of crime," said Sean Brown of the American Chamber of Commerce.
