Bomb Scare at Auction

MOSCOW () -- The Central Bank on Wednesday postponed its weekly auction of 3-month treasury bills due to a bomb threat at its headquarters.

The auction will take place Thursday, according to Bella Zlatkis, head of securities at the Finance Ministry.

On Tuesday, building security officials received a call from an unidentified man saying that he had planted a bomb at Central Bank headquarters in downtown Moscow. The building was evacuated, but a police bomb squad found no signs of explosives.
