Sous Chef Wins Cook-Off Prize

Margarita Borotkina, a sous chef at the Radisson Slavjanskaya, won first prize in the first annual Trophy of Young Russian Chefs at Friday's lavish award ceremony at the Pullman Iris Hotel.


Borotkina, 28, edged Vitaly Chasovikov of the Potel et Chabot gourmet caterers and Sergei Kruprikov of Siecle d'Argent into second and third place respectively, while Sergei Ivanov from the Tsaritsyno restaurant school won the award for the most promising student.
