Kerrigan Case Charge

Tonya Harding's ex-husband was charged Wednesday with playing a key role in a chilling plot to disable rival figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, from arranging the payment to urging the alleged hit man to bash her landing leg.

The arrest of Jeff Gillooly, 26, came as authorities are continuing to scrutinize Harding's part in the bashing, which has turned the figure-skating world upside down and cast doubt about Harding's berth on the U.S. Olympic team.

Gillooly turned himself in Wednesday about 10 hours after a shaken Harding emerged from questioning and announced their separation. Gillooly, released after posting $2,000 bail, has declined to comment. Prosecutors have refused to say if Harding will be charged .
