In Fond Memory of Constantine Catoire

We were shocked by the tone of the article Wednesday headlined "Man Killed Falling From UPDK Block".

The fact that you mention two different interviews indicates that you have thought this story worthy of some investigation and attention. and yet, it just seems to add up to a drunken Russian man named Klyuchevsky falling off his balcony.

Constantine Catoire (as in Catoire de Billancourt, his great great grandmother's maiden name), a pleasant young man known only under that name by an important part of Moscow's foreign community, was definitely not just a drunken Russian man.

Constantine had entrances in a large number of embassies and foreign firms who were his personal customers for the Western company he was working with as best sales representative. Most of his friends were French, American and British. Sadly, only a very few of all these people who knew Constantine have recognized his tragic death in your article.

We think you will agree that it is really too bad that this article forgot to be informative and maybe commemorative.
