Transaero Opens Office

MOSCOW (MT) - Russia's first independent airline, Transaero, opened a 24-hour booking office in central Moscow on Monday.

The office, in the Moskva Hotel on Manezh Square, will sell tickets for Transaero's flights, which include regularly scheduled trips to Riga, Alma-Ata, Minsk, Norilsk and Sochi.

It will also sell tickets for flights on United Airlines, Finnair, Air Ukraine, and three Baltic airlines.

The office, which will be open seven days a week, will accept American Express credit cards, and traveler checks.

Besides Aeroflot, Transaero is the only other Russian carrier with regularly scheduled flights.

Its shareholders include Aeroflot and the Yakovlev and Ilyushin design bureaus.
