Danish telecom venture formed

Muscovites will soon be even more plugged in to Europe, thanks to a new joint venture between Russia and two Danish companies, Interfax reported.

The $84 million project will be the product of DTRG and Telecom Invest Ltd together with the Russian company, Intertelekom, according to the news agency.

The report also said that the high speed telephone line will plug the European part of Russia into the world telecommunications system, with phones set to start ringing by mid-1993.
