A resident of Russia's southern city of Taganrog, Yelizaveta Tsvetkova, has been sentenced to one year of corrective labor for distributing leaflets criticizing the police, the Gazeta.ru news website reported Tuesday, citing her lawyer.
She has also been fined 6,000 rubles ($90), according to her lawyer, Yury Chupilkin.
According to the investigation, Tsvetkova printed out the leaflets from the Vkontakte social media site.
She stuck the leaflets on lampposts and bus stops prior to the Interior Ministry Personnel Day on Nov. 10.
The court found Tsvetkova guilty of inciting hatred and enmity toward police.
