Leading the country into the bright future of Communism, Stalin planned to build his own sacred capital full of palaces and ideological temples. At the same time many social issues of housing, education healthcare, water and transportation had to be solved urgently.
The lecturer is Dr Olga Zinovieva, who is a professor of urban semiotics and symbolism at Lomonosov Moscow State University. She has published several books on Moscow urban communications and symbolism of the XX century with her own photos. Zinovieva often gives public talks in Russia and abroad.
