Allen & Overy Moscow is pleased to announce the promotion of Anton Konnov and Elena Tchoubykina to the partnership Anton Konnov is a Corporate Partner in the Moscow office of Allen & Overy. He concentrates on corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities issues, corporate governance and shareholder disputes and also has significant experience advising on infrastructure projects. Anton joined Allen & Overy Moscow as a trainee in 1997 and qualified as an associate in 1999. Anton graduated from the Law College of Moscow State University in 1999 with a degree in law and from the New York University School of Law in 2006 with an LLM in Corporate Law. He was admitted to practise in Russia in 1999 and to the Bar of the State of New York in 2007.   Elena Tchoubykina becomes a Banking Partner in the Moscow office of Allen & Overy. She has acquired substantial banking and capital markets experience. Elena has advised Russian and foreign financial institutions as well as Russian borrowers on a wide range of secured and unsecured banking transactions including structured finance, pre-export finance and general lending. She has also advised on Eurobond issues by Russian issuers (standalone and programmes). Elena joined Allen & Overy Moscow in 1997 as a trainee and upon graduation became an associate in its Banking Department. She graduated with honours from the Legal Department of Moscow State University in 1999. She also qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2004.

Elena Kourchuk heads Salans’ Russian Competition Law Practice. She has broad experience in Russian competition law matters, ranging from analysis and follow-up on notification of concentrations, analysis of distribution and other commercial agreements, to representing clients in administrative proceedings before the Russian competition authorities. Elena also focuses on M&A, corporate law and securities regulations. She has assisted clients in structuring investments, public offers for securities, buy-outs of minority shares, reorganizations, information disclosures, securities issuances, acquisitions through auctions/tenders and regulatory issues. Elena graduated from Moscow Linguistic University in 1995 and received her law degree in 1998 from the Moscow State University of International Relations. Elena joined Salans’ Moscow office in 1997. Anna Zvereva specializes in tax law. She has extensive experience in accounting, tax due diligence reviews, tax audits, tax compliance projects, accounting and payroll outsourcing, accounting in accordance with Russian accounting standards and IAS, tax optimization, audits in accordance with RAS and advising on taxation and accounting. Anna graduated from the State Financial Academy of the Russian Federation, Tax Faculty (Degree, 1998), and is currently pursuing a degree at the ACCA in London. Prior to joining Salans’ Moscow office in 2007, Anna was a senior tax consultant at Alrud.

Oleg Goshchansky appointed Regional Head of Audit for KPMG in Russia and the CIS. Oleg Goshchansky was born in Kiev in 1967. In 1991, he graduated from the Kiev Trade and Economics Institute, specializing in Trade Economics; in 1990-1992, he also studied in Germany at the University of Marburg, specializing in Economics of Enterprise. From 1992-1997, he was an auditor at Coopers&Lybrand in Frankfurt am Main. Oleg joined KPMG in 1997 as a senior auditor, and worked his way to partner (2002). From 2005 to 2008, he served as head of the industrial markets group. Oleg is a US Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Great Britain. He has extensive audit experience in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP and RAP. Oleg is married and has one child.
