Freshfields appoints Maxim Kulkov to head Russian disputes practice

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has appointed Maxim Kulkov to lead the
firmТs arbitration and litigation practice in Moscow.

Formerly the head of Goldsblat BLPТs Russian disputes practice, Kulkov has nearly 15 yearsТ broad experience in arbitration and litigation matters including compliance with competition regulations, money laundering, anti-bribery and other investigations. Maxim has extensive experience in domestic and international litigation and arbitration on investments, contractual disputes, IP disputes, international trade, conflict of laws, jurisdictional disputes and competition law issues. He represents client interests at domestic forums at all levels and before prominent commercial arbitration
institutions, such as the ICC, LCIA and SCC.

Maxim graduated with a Diploma in Law from Moscow University and attained his LL.M. at Nottingham University. He is a member of the Moscow Regional Bar.
