Dzhangar Dzhalchinov appointed Of Counsel at international law firm Salans

Dzhangar Dzhalchinov has been promoted to Of Counsel at Salans’ Russian Tax Practice. He primarily focuses on tax litigation, and has been an Associate in Salans' Moscow office since 2007.  Between 2007  and  2011 Dzhangar, on behalf of the  Salans'  Russian Tax Practice, handled over 300 court cases including in the Supreme Arbitration Court. In addition, Dzhangar has provided full support in a considerable number of tax disputes settled in favor of the client before they went to court.

He also advises on various aspects of taxation, including drafting internal policies to prevent tax risks (regarding suppliers, marketing, and others), analyzing contracts for tax risks, and verifying tax accounting in order to reveal potential tax assessments and  overpayments.

Dzhangar is the IFA official reporter for 2011 and 2012. He is the author of a book on tax risks in contracting and more than 50 articles in leading Russian professional publications.
Dzhangar graduated from Moscow State University (Law Degree, with honors, 2005). He has also received an accountant’s degree and is currently working towards an MBA.
