DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Elena Kurchuk has joined its Moscow office as Counsel in the Corporate group and will lead its Russian competition practice.
Elena specializes in competition law and natural monopoly matters, with experience in analysis of economic concentrations and their clearance with FAS, analysis of commercial agreements, advice on abuse of dominant position and unfair competition, as well as representing clients before the Russian competition authorities.
Elena is also experienced in M&A and corporate transactions, and has been involved in a number of major projects.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Elena was head of the Russian competition practice at Salans.
Elena graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University in 1995, holds an International law Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIGIMO) (1998), and
is currently working towards a post-graduate Diploma at the King’s College London.
