New appointments at Clifford Chance Moscow

Nicholas Munday, head of litigation and arbitration in London, has been relocated to the Moscow office of Clifford Chance to further strengthen its cross-border litigation and arbitration practice in Russia. Nicholas will be responsible for leading teams of lawyers in Moscow and London handling domestic and international matters for clients from around the global Clifford Chance network doing business in Russia.

Torsten Syrbe, a long-standing Moscow counsel and head of the firm's Russian competition group, has been promoted to the partnership. Torsten has extensive experience in advising major international and Russian corporations on joint ventures, M&A, real estate and PPP transactions and has a rich knowledge of all areas of Russian and EU competition.

Nicholas Rees, London corporate partner, has moved to the Moscow office bringing extensive English law expertise, notably in private and public mergers and acquisitions, IPO, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work across major industry sectors, including banking and finance, industrials, metals and mining, consumer products, infrastructure, and insurance.
