Chadbourne & Parke LLP is pleased to announce a new Managing Partner and three new international partners in its Moscow office.
A former senior counsel with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Ms. Handz focuses on bank restructuring work and other banking and finance matters. She was with EBRD's Corporate Recovery Group in the early 2000's and has extensive experience working on multilateral and bilateral debt and equity financings. She has represented lenders, sponsors and borrowers on transactions in the telecommunications, infrastructure, energy, steel and manufacturing, oil and gas and real estate sectors.
Mr. Gubarev's practice involves issues relating to finance and banking law and capital markets transactions, including structured finance, project finance and derivatives. His work with Chadbourne has included advising multilateral lenders, as well as Russian and western banks and companies on various securitizations, syndicated loans, project finance transactions, credit linked notes issues and other financings in Russia and other CIS countries.
Ms. Koniuhova's practice involves cross-border transactions with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, corporate restructuring and reorganization, preparation of companies for listing and the raising of debt on Russian and international capital markets. She has also provided legal counsel to a broad range of multinational and other companies on matters such as corporate governance, local regulatory regimes and labor issues.
Ms. Romanova focuses her practice on litigation, international and domestic arbitration and bankruptcy/restructuring matters. She advises clients with regard to all aspects of dispute resolution involving Russian elements. Ms.
Romanova has worked with international multilateral lending institutions on recovery and restructuring matters and rendered advice in connection with numerous international arbitration proceedings for such institutions and major Russian clients.
