Moscow's Third Mercure Hotel to Open in Khimki in 2015

Russian construction company Mebe Development will build a 4-star 230-room Mercure hotel in Khimki, just outside the MKAD to the north of the capital.

Located on Leningradskoye Shosse and designed by British architects John McAslan and Partners, the hotel will sit on the route both to Sheremetyevo Airport and to St. Petersburg.

The 14,000 square meter building will absorb investment of $50 million, and will include a fitness area with a swimming pool, restaurants, conference and function halls, and parking. Construction is slated to start by the end of the year, and be complete in mid-2015.

Global hotel operator Accor will manage the hotel under the Mercure brand. The Khimki hotel will be the third Mercure hotel in the Moscow area.
