Cameron Takes Revenge in 'Small Island' Squabble (Video)

British Prime Minister David Cameron has hit back at President Vladimir Putin's spokesman who called Britain a "small island that no one pays attention to," by saying that Britain "beat Russia" in the Olympics last year and produced the world's "biggest selling" vodka.

Addressing the remarks reportedly made by Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov during the Group of 20 summit in St. Petersburg in early September, Cameron spelled out several of Britain's historical achievements, including writing the Magna Carta, building the first parliament and "leading the abolition of slavery," before getting to the Olympics and vodka brand Smirnoff.

Cameron's remarks about the Olympics and vodka elicited a roar of laughter at a meeting of the Conservative Party on Wednesday, as the video posted on YouTube shows.
