Andy Smith, the department head at Sberbank CIB accused of plagiarizing research produced by investment company Aton one year ago, has left the company, Vedomosti reported.
The analyst left the company of his own free will, Sberbank said.
Smith was the main author of research released by Sberbank titled "Russian Corporate Governance: How to Take Advantage of the Moment," which closely resembled Aton's report from one year ago called "Corporate Governance: The Price of Additional Risks" as well as the work of Andrei Vernikov, a professor at the finance department at Higher School of Economics.
