Irkut's Net Profit Up 27.7% in 2012

Irkut's net profit exceeded 1 billion rubles ($33 million) last year, which is 27.7 percent more than in 2011, according to the company's financial report for 2012.

Its revenue amounted to 48.5 billion rubles, the company said.

Irkut's financial report for 2012 was based on Russian Accounting Standards, Interfax said.

The company said in 2012 it had concluded contracts to supply more than 100 military aircraft and assembly kits for their production.

"Therefore, as of today Irkut's contract portfolio amounts to about $9 billion," the company said.

Irkut's principal owners are United Aircraft Corporation and aircraft maker Sukhoi.

Its products include Be-200 amphibious aircraft, the Su-30MK fighter-bomber and Yak-130 military training aircraft.
