A Superjet 100 passenger plane completed an emergency landing on Thursday at Sheremetyevo Airport due to a problem with landing gear, a news report said.
According to Interfax, the Superjet 100, heading from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, made the emergency landing around 4:50 p.m. because one of the plane's landing gear legs would not close.
There were 77 people on board, in addition to seven crew members, but no one was injured, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
The Superjet aircraft — Russia's first post-Soviet civilian plane — has been under close scrutiny recently due to a number of malfunctions and a tragic plane crash in Indonesia in 2012 during a promotional flight with potential investors.
Aeroflot grounded four of its 10 Superjet planes in February, citing technical problems.
