Johnson & Johnson has signed a partnership agreement with a medical techno park in Novosibirsk with the goal of improving the qualifications of medical personnel in the region, according to a company statement.
“Signing this agreement will definitely expand the framework of cooperation in the sphere of training specialists, implementing innovative technologies and developing high-tech [medical] assistance in the Siberian region,” said Arman Voskerchyan, general director of Johnson&Johnson in Russia.
We are looking at different ways of localizing competences in Russia but do not have any concrete plans for manufacturing yet, Voskerchyan said.
On Wednesday, Johnson & Johnson signed the agreement with the Innovative Medical Technology Center of the Novosibirsk region.
The signing of such an agreement gives additional possibilities to our specialists to share experience with foreign colleagues, join international development programs, and will give a boost to the development of high technology manufacturing in the Novosibirsk region, said Yekaterina Mamonova, the general director of the medical technology center.
The medical technology park, which cost an estimated 20 million euros ($26 million), opened in Novosibirsk at the end of 2011. MDM-Bank provided a credit line for the project.
