A magnitude 5.9 earthquake and a successive temblor about 250 kilometers east of the Pacific coastal city of Vilyuchinsk at a depth of 50 kilometers caused no casualties or damage Friday, the Emergency Situations Ministry said. It was felt as a magnitude 4 temblor in the provincial capital of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and nearby areas.
