Burns to Focus on Iran

U.S. Undersecretary of State William Burns will hold talks in Moscow on Wednesday with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Iran's nuclear program, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Burns, who joined European Union diplomats in July at talks with Iranian officials in Geneva, will also discuss other issues with Lavrov, Foreign Ministry spokesman Igor Lyakin-Frolov said.

Russia has refused to discuss further United Nations sanctions to block Iran's nuclear ambitions after falling out with the West over its August war with Georgia.
