Ingush Bomb Explosions Injure 3

Separate bomb blasts wounded two government officials and a police officer in Ingushetia last weekend.

The regional Interior Ministry said a car driven by a deputy economic minister, Arsamak Zyazikov, a relative of the region's deeply unpopular president, exploded in Ingushetia's main city of Nazran on Sunday. Said Kotiev, an aide to Ingush President Murat Zyazikov, also was slightly wounded.

The ministry said a bomb exploded at about the same time in a car being driven by a police officer in the village of Ordzhonikidzevsky, outside of Nazran. The officer was seriously wounded.

It was unclear whether the two blasts were connected, and no one immediately claimed responsibility for them.
