Court Overturns Dudley Work Ban

The Moscow City Court on Thursday overturned a court order barring TNK-BP chief executive Robert Dudley from working in Russia for two years.

The successful appeal follows the end of a dispute between TNK-BP's 50-50 shareholders, BP and a consortium of four Russian billionaires.

In August, Moscow's Presnensky District Court ruled that Dudley could not work in Russia for two years because of alleged labor violations. He left the country in July, citing harassment.

The Moscow City Court overturned that ruling "in the absence of any administrative offense," spokeswoman Anna Usachova said. The court also dropped fines of 15,000 rubles ($575) for TNK-BP and 500 rubles for Dudley.
