TNK-BP's Dudley Fined 3,000 Rubles

The Moscow labor inspectorate fined TNK-BP chief executive Robert Dudley and a management unit for "technical" labor infractions, the company said Monday.

Dudley was fined 3,000 rubles ($126) and TNK-BP Management must pay 40,000 rubles, said a TNK-BP spokesman, who declined to be identified citing company policy. The company must fix the violations within a month, Interfax reported, citing the labor inspectorate.

The violations were "technical" and will be rectified as soon as possible, TNK-BP spokeswoman Marina Dracheva said this week.

Also Monday, an unidentified Moscow city government official said that next week TNK-BP would receive a ruling on the number of foreigners it can employ, after managers submitted conflicting applications, Interfax reported.
