SAS airlines is offering a promotion on its second daily flight between Moscow and Copenhagen. The flight will depart Copenhagen at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport at 7:15 p.m., returning to Copenhagen at 8:50 p.m. The promotional price for the round trip is 7,095 rubles including airport taxes. The fare will be available until March 31 and can be applied to travel from April 1 to 30.

Sibaviatrans is launching a brand new red-eye flight between Moscow and Novosibirsk starting April 6. The plane will have only first- and business-class seats on board. It will depart Moscow's Domodedovo airport at 23:10 p.m., arriving at 6:30 a.m. the next day, with the return flight departing Novosibirsk at 8:40 p.m. and arriving in Moscow at 9:40 p.m. One-way fares will be 35,000 rubles for business-class travelers, and 65,000 rubles for first-class seats.

Aeroflot is offering a special price for flights from Moscow to New York. The 18,315 ruble fare is available until March 31. The fare is good for stays in New York ranging from the Sunday following arrival up to a month.

Sky Express is offering free return trips to people who purchase tickets for the flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Passengers must arrange for both tickets before March 31 and take the departing flight before April 30. After purchasing a ticket to St. Petersburg, the passenger is e-mailed a voucher valid for a return trip to Moscow.

The airline is also offering registered users a 50 percent discount on all Tuesday and Wednesday flights. To participate, travelers should register on the company's web site and check off "shastliviye budni" on the flight registration form. The program lasts until April 30. Sky Express flies from Vnukovo airport.

Eurofly, Alitalia's budget carrier, launched a new route between Bologna and Moscow's Domodedovo airport this week. The flight will depart twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The base fare is set at 6,232 rubles for the round trip. Planes bound for Bologna will depart at 2:55 p.m. from Moscow, and the flight from Bologna to Moscow will depart at 8:45 a.m.

The Transportation Ministry has announced that flights between Russia and Georgia will resume as of March 25. Flights between the two countries were stopped in October 2006. According to a release posted on the ministry's web site, flights will resume following the payment of a debt owed by Georgian airlines to Russia for air navigation services.
