2 More Top Rosneft Executives Leave

Rosneft said Thursday that vice president Ramil Valitov quit, as a series of high-level departures at the country's biggest oil producer continues.

Valitov "resigned to take another job," the company said in a statement on its web site, without elaborating. He will be replaced by Pavel Zablotsky, previously the head of St. Petersburg-based engineering firm Pikon, Interfax reported.

The resignation follows a report in Kommersant on Thursday that Sergei Khotochkin, Rosneft's chief of corporate governance, recently became the fifth manager to leave the company in three months.

"Some retired, some went on to other jobs," company spokesman Nikolai Manvelov said. "This is normal."

Khotochkin, a longtime associate of chief executive Sergei Bogdanchikov, was dismissed Wednesday, the newspaper said, citing unidentified company and government officials.
