Swissotel Krasnye Holmy Moscow has announced the appointment of Tamara Afonina as Public Relations and Communications Manager. In this role, she is to support and coordinate all of the company's marketing and public relations efforts to increase industry exposure and Swissotel's brand awareness. She will also serve as liaison to the media, drafting news releases on the hotel's announcements and milestones. Previously she was employed by award-winning GOLO Publicidade, a Portuguese marketing/advertising agency based in Maputo, Mozambique, where she was responsible for managing a variety of the firm's accounts. In that role, she developed public relations and marketing plans, drafted advertisements and prepared media and advertising plans for the firm's clients.

Swissotel Krasnye Holmy Moscow has announced the appointment of Gianluca Tozzo as its new Director of Rooms. In this role, he will have overall responsibility for the following areas: Front Office, Housekeeping, Customer Care, Spa and Executive Lounge.

Prior to coming to Moscow, Mr. Tozzo occupied the position of the Front Office Manager at Swissotel The Bosphorus in Istanbul, where he was a key member of the Rooms Division. While working in Istanbul, Mr. Tozzo became familiar with the standards of Swissotel as well as the brand itself.


Marina Ryzhkova appointed Partner at international law firm Salans

Marina Ryzhkova has been appointed partner with the international law firm Salans. She had been the head of Salans Russian Labour Law/ Employment Practice since 2006.

Ms. Ryzhkova graduated with honours from Moscow Pedagogical State University (bio-chemical faculty) in 1991. She received her Law Degree with honours from Moscow State University in 2000.

Marina Ryzhkova joined Salans as an assistant in 1994. She was appointed to the position of associate in 2000, and became a senior associate and advocate in 2002. Ms. Ryzhkova was appointed counsel and head of Salans Russian Labour Law/ Employment Practice in 2006.

Ms. Ryzhkova specializes in labour law, and has over a period of seven years built up a successful Russian labour law practice. Ms. Ryzhkova's professional experience includes advising clients on all aspects of the highly complex Russian employment law including all labour law questions that arise in connection with newly-opened branches and representative offices of foreign companies and their subsidiaries in Russia, problematic individual dismissals and mass lay-offs, issues involving State Labour Inspection, and representing employers in labour disputes and litigation.

Marina Ryzhkova also has extensive experience in arbitration, litigation, alternative dispute resolution, advertising, antitrust law, consumer protection, medical law, and licensing and certification.
