Valentine's Day seems to be rivaling New Year's Eve in importance, given the number of restaurants holding special promotions. The city's hotels are especially enthusiastic, and the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski is certainly not skipping the occasion. On the menu is a five-course meal with each course accompanied by a different wine, including Moet & Chandon champagne served with a complimentary treat from the chef and Graham's Six Grapes Reserve Port served with dessert. The set meal for two costs 6,400 rubles or 3,900 rubles without the wines.

The Ararat Park Hyatt is joining the festivities with two offers. The Park Restaurant will serve a five-course meal, with a choice of either grilled veal tenderloin and smoked bacon or roasted Atlantic turbot fillet for the main course. The cost is 3,100 rubles per person. The Conservatory Bar and Lounge is offering two degustation sets: a savory plate or a selection of pastries, and both come with a half bottle of Moet & Chandon. The savory plate costs 4,200 rubles and the sweet selection goes for 3,600 rubles.
Vinoteca Dissident also has something planned for Valentine's Day -- a degustation set for two. The fixed menu will be offered all day, served with a bottle of Dopff au Moulin French sparkling wine: ruccola salad with conference pear and gorgonzola cheese, warm sea scallop with pesto and lobster with baked artichoke. A choice of two desserts is planned, French soft cheeses or charlotte cake with red berries, both served with a glass of wine. The cost is 7,000 rubles for two.
